SUNSET ATV AND MAYAN CEREMONY

Choose from a 1-person fully automatic ATV or a 2-person 660cc automatic Yamaha -Rhino and go off the beaten path as we visit the Caverns of Chac Tun to participate in an ancient Mayan ceremony of purification and even snorkel in the cavern’s amazing cenote.

Jump on your ATV or Mini-Rhino and drive over back-roads through Playa del Carmen’s low shrub-jungle terrain en route to the hidden underground world of the ancient Mayans at the mystical caverns of Chac Tun. You’ll be awed by nature’s majesty as she surrounds you with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.

Follow your guide into the cavernous depths and experience the power of an ancient Mayan ceremony of purification and renewal performed by a local practitioner of Mayan spirituality. This ritual involves the sacred waters of an underground river as well as fire, earth, music, movement and meditation in the caverns depths.

Jump into the cool fresh waters of the cenote for the awesome opportunity to snorkel through cavernous formations and emerge a spirit renewed.

When time’s up, you’ll ride your vehicle back to the starting point and return to the pier by van.

Notes

- Minimum 8 yrs. old to participate.
- Children under 18 must ride in a Mini-Rhino.
- 1 guest per ATV, 2 guests per Mini-Rhino.
- Minimum 18 years old to drive and must present a valid driver license.

Medical restrictions
Due to active nature of the tour women who are pregnant are not allowed to participate nor are guests in wheel chairs, with walking aids such as canes or crutches or those with heart or respiratory conditions (asthma) or back / neck injuries.
- Maximum weight per ATV is 290 Lbs.
- Reckless driving will not be allowed.
