Day 1: Mexico City

-Arrival and overnight.

Day 2: Mexico City

-Begin this journey in Mexico City, one of the world’s largest and more populated cities, by visiting the Zocalo which is the largest plaza in Latin America. There you will find the Cathedral, National Palace, Supreme Court and the precinct of the Aztec Templo Mayor (or Great Temple) of Tenochtitlan.

-Overnight in Mexico City.

Day 3: Mexico City

- Start the day visiting The National Museum of Anthropology and History where you can witness the most remarkable collection of the splendor of the pre-Hispanic past.

- Depart and tour of Teotihuacan, one of the most important and colossal archeological sites in Mexico. Admire the Quetzalcoatl and Tlaloc temples, The Avenue of the Death and the Moon pyramid and the Sun Pyramid (the second largest in the new world).

Day 4: Mexico City-Morelia (303 km)

-Depart in the morning to Morelia, capital of the Purepechas kingdom and the most important place of Mexico's evangelization. Admire the baroque, eclectic and neoclassical styles of its most important buildings and churches from the XVI Century, beautiful constructions in Cantera stone.

-Overnight in Morelia.

Day 5: Morelia-Patzcuaro-Morelia (53 km one way)

- Transportation and Patzcuaro Lake and tour of the Janitzio Island, famous for its particular fisherman’s net and for its delicious white fish.

Day 6: Morelia-Guadalajara (293km)

-Transportation to Guadalajara, a splendid colonial city that gives Mexico much of its identity. Cradle of the Mexican charros, the Mariachi bands, and the most popular liquor, the Tequila. Let Guadalajara colonial monuments and buildings take you back in time. We take you to tour Guadalajara’s downtown where you can visit the Cathedral and Degollado’s theater a monumental building from the XIX century and one of the most important precincts of the city.

Day 7: Guadalajara

-Free time to take other different tours and activities. We recommend you The Tequila express, a train tour of the plantations field and factories of the Tequila. Don’t miss the opportunity to taste and see the process of this delicious agave liquor.

Day 8: Guadalajara

-Time to visit the surrounding areas and the beautiful colonial towns nearby Tlaquepaque and Tonala.

Day 9: Guadalajara-Guanajuato (290 km)

Early departure to Guanajuato, one the most beautiful colonial cities in Mexico. Free time to stroll around its narrow cobbled walkways and pastel colored buildings. Visit the Hidalgo Market, Juarez Theatre and the Alhondiga de Granaditas museum.

Day 10: Guanajuato

-We will continue exploring the city, the museums, the churches, nunneries, old silver, gold mines and the obligated visit of the museum of the famous Mummy Museum.

Day 11: Guanajuato-San Miguel Allende-Queretaro (161km)

-Depart to San Miguel Allende, beautiful town famous for its gothic church and streets. Cradle of the most important heroes of the Mexican independence war. Visit the city’s Parish with the Holy House Chapel, the Inquisitor House, the San Francisco church and Allende’s house.

Day 12: Queretaro

-A beautiful colonial town famous for its ancient library, museums and sightseeing attractions as the Aqueduct, the Convent of the Holy Cross,the temple of San Felipe Neri and its historic downtown considered world heritage site by UNESCO.

-Overnight in Queretaro.

Day 13: Queretaro-Puebla (331 km)

-Transfer to Puebla city, also known as Puebla de los Angeles. This city, considered as world heritage site, has around 5000 colonial buildings mostly of baroque architecture from the XVI century. One of the most beautiful precincts is the Cathedral, a perfect example of the architectonic beauty of the city. Take a tour of the Parian handicraft market, visit the beautiful Tonanzintla church and reward your palate with its unparalleled gastronomy; a perfect blend of pre-Hispanic, Arab, French and Spanish inheritance.

Day 14: Puebla-Cholula- Puebla (19 km one way)

- While in Puebla we will go visit Cholula, an very important city of pre-Columbian Mesoameria. Here you will see the world's widest pyramid ever built, The Great Pyramid of Cholula with a base of 450 meters wide. Be amazed by the beauty of the Botanical Garden and Saint Gabriel Monastery with is massive doors and gothic arches.

Day 15: Puebla-Oaxaca (348 km)

-Transfer and overnight in Oaxaca.

Day 16: Oaxaca-Monte Alban-Oaxaca (10 km one way)

-Day tour of Oaxaca city where you can admire the amazing architecture of the beautiful buildings that embellish its historical downtown, declared World Heritage site by UNESCO. Visit the Cathedral, Santo Domingo monastery and church, and the Macedonio Alcala Theater among other magnificent colonial constructions.

-During the afternoon visit the archaeological site of Monte Alban belonging to the Zapotec culture. See the temple of Los Danzantes, ball court, The Palace and other structures literally carved out of a mountain.

-Overnight in Oaxaca.

Day 17: Oaxaca-Mitla-Oaxaca (40 km one way)

-Visit the archaeological zone of Mitla, old capital of the Mixtecs, famous for its pre-Hispanic constructions and magnificent facades decorated with ornaments and symbols.

Day 18: Oaxaca-Tuxtla Gutierrez (557 km)

-Transfer and overnight in Tuxtla Gutierrez, the capital of the state of Chiapas.

Day 19: Tuxtla Gutierrez-Cañon del Sumidero-San Cristobal (68 km)

-Transfer to San Cristobal, on the way we have time to take a tour to El Cañon del Sumidero natural park, a stunning canyon where you can take part in numerous activities in total harmony with nature.

-Overnight in San Cristobal de las Casas.

Day 20: San Cristobal de las Casas

- Tour of to the communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan and transfer back to San Cristobal.

-Time to visit the convents and churches of San Cristobal considered a Magic Village by the government for its historical and religious significance.

-Overnight in San Cristobal.

Day 21: San Cristobal-Palenque (191 km)

-In the morning transfer to Palenque, we stop on the way to visit the majestic Agua Azul waterfalls.

-Arrival and visit of the archaeological site of Palenque.

Day 22: Day 22: Palenque-Campeche (354 km)

-Departure to Campeche. Visit this picturesque town's Independence Square and Cathedral. If we have time we visit the Mayan site of Edzna, (Mayan for “House of Grimaces" after the cross-eyed faces carved onto the building's stone facade.

-Overnight in Campeche.

Day 23: Campeche-Uxmal-Merida (234 km)

-Departure to Merida. On the way we visit the Maya city of Uxmal, the Wizard pyramid, The Palace of the Nuns and The Governor's Palace.

-Overnight in Merida.

Day 24: Merida

-Merida’s City tour, visiting the Zocalo, the Cathedral and the Governor’s Palace. Time to visit the Museum of Anthropology.

Day 25: Merida-Chichen Itza-Cancun ( 320 km)

-Departure to the most important religious Mayan city of Chichen Itza, guided visit of the Castillo (The Pyramid of Kukulcan, The Tomb of the Big Oreist, El Caracol, The Temple of the Warriors and El Cenote Sagrado.

-Departure to Cancun. Free time to enjoy this eclectic and cosmopolitan beach city.

-Dinner and overnight in Cancun.

Day 26: Cancun

- Free day to do any of the optional trips available such as: Coba, Tulum, Xcaret, Xelha, Isla Mujeres or Cozumel.
